The hiring process at Domino's Pizza has become increasingly rigorous and an individual is hired, Domino's assumes they are hiring them for life. They have found the employee referral process has been the most successful when measuring turnover, a result of employing hard workers who tend to have hard-working friends. The referral process has 3 major benefits:
1. It is inexpensive
2. Team members are compensated for a successful referral
3. New hiring enter the workforce with an acquaintance

Domino's Pizza houses employees from four different generations. Generation Y employees are interested in a good work-life balance and are willing to work as hard as any other generation, but only if they can work at their own experience. Although this generation wants to make as much money as possible, as quickly as possible, they don't see the value of a five-year career path.

The organization has shifted their rewards program to focus on time off because those extra days are more valuable to the Generation Y workers than a bonus. Domino's has also shifted their brand apparel or cash-based awards to the latest technological gadgets, such as iPods and iPhones.

Historically, it was common for someone to stick with one job for a span of ten-years. Generation Y employees have a tendency to job hop, compiling a track record of five different employers in ten years. Domino's Pizza used to have a no re-hire policy, but they realized they were selling themselves short if they told employees they didn't have a job if they decided to move on to another.

  • I work for them and they have given me zero shifts this week and didn't tell me. They think we can read their minds.

I just needed two days off last week and they said it was fine!

  • i working in the uk im a delivery driver i make £6.10 an hour i get £1 a delivery for fuel my maximum range for my area is about 8 miles i often get 2-5 delivery in one go so get 1£ extra more fuel for less jouerny this is Europe my car is a 1 liter engine i can get alot of tips average is 1£ a delivery even if i go far so can get an extra alot i can make up to 12£ an hour or about 18$on weekends or thats my best 9£ an hour is avarage so yeh its not bad here in the uk we have fair laws

  • (continued) Unless tips are really good a Domino's delivery driver makes below minimum wage and if we have a major problem with our vehicle it cost more than we make. Lucky for me I can do most of my own repair work, but those that can't would be better off flipping burgers at Mc Donalds! If a delivery driver has a nice car they would drive it into the dirt within 2 years and the company could care less. Also there are no benefits at all and no paid vacations unless you are a store manager.

  • What this lady is saying is pure bullshit. I work for a Domino's Pizza and its nothing like that. The franchise I work for don't give a shit about the employees, they just want us to preform like trained monkeys. The worse the economy gets the less they care about their employees, we are a dime a dozen to them, they can just hire another one. Us drivers get paid minimum wage and $1.50 per delivery and tips. Upkeep on a car cost more than the tips and the $1.50 per delivery.

  • Maybe im working for some different type of dominos , but i went into the store got a job application , nd had a 5 minute interview. And now i work with with about 15 people 4 of which are on parole and one of which might have to quit to go to jail. lol dominos.

  • bah, a bunch of lies. you can't say these sorts of things about one company, as a franchise each store is different. i love working for dominos, and it was easy to get a job there.

  • i don't know about mizSonni but where I work drivers get paid above the min and they get paid 1.25 for every delivery they take i am not saying that it is a career but you can make money here

  • domino's is an awful place to work.

  • That's why when I get a pizza deliverd I try to tip the driver well. I know it's now much but I try to help because I know that don't make much.

  • Ya, screw cash rewards, give me the CHANCE to win an iphone. This bitch doesn't believe her own lies. Have you even been to a store lady? Don't try to relate to the lower echelon from the top. You ain't got a f'in clue.
