"It's not like the birds don't know we're here" - No, it's like there are lines of 'beaters' beating the bushes and scaring the birds out of hiding and into the line of fire. I'm not for or against shooting etc - I live in the countryside, my brother is a Game Keeper, I'm a vegetarian, so I'm just highlighting an issue. The dogs are all gorgeous and Vicky Coren is a great presenter.

It's always fun to hear the cry babies that don't want hunting or guns in this world but without hunting the animals would starve to death and the balance of certain animals would do more harm than good. As for guns just look at the countries with tight gun laws or bans they have the highest crime and murder rates like mexico and the middle east where only criminals and the government have guns so maybe the liberal socialists should spend more time in those countries.

Too bad those that condemn the dogs and hunting, have never truly seen a working hunting dog do its job. They love to hunt, they live to be out in the field, you can see the joy when they are out looking for that next bird. You do not have to agree with the lifestyle choice of hunting, but it is hard to ignore that the dogs are happiest when they are doing what is in their blood for thousands, if not more years. A happier dog will not be seen.

Those dogs are gorgeous! So much nicer than little yappy dogs. I don't agree with the shooting, but the dogs are lovely!

@highburyhills Is it wrong to be indifferent about an issue that one isn't really concerned with but would like to understand?

So she just makes these clever-dick programmes about hunting with groovy music in the background without really sticking her neck out about such a controversial subject...or in fact anything??
