  • hair spray fixative is brilliant - everyone should take it outside or where a mask though.

This technique would not work on watercolor paper right?

  • @LottieSue No this would not work well on a watercolor, but then again you sketch out a watercolor in the watercolor wash itself and wouldn't need to secure your pencil drawing.

  • where do you bye your painting stuff from. or order it

  • @DJSHADDY2K7 I purchase most of my supplies at a local Art supply store 'Guiry's'. I also look for sales. You can get on e-mail lists of local art stores and they will tell you when they have sales. 2 for 1 canvas sales are the best!

  • Many thanks for taking the time out to do these tutorials. I am a newbie to the world of acrylic painting, and your hard work has saved me hours of research time! Thankyou dude :)

  • @blipblopper My pleasure... I still have to post the last video "Sealing and Varnishing"

  • @cloudynitro Its so when you begun painting it doesn't smug.

  • What is the purpose of a fixative?

  • u have every supply what ever existed lol

  • @DJSHADDY2K7 Plus, if you have a Hobby Lobby or Michael's nearby, they almost always have a 30% or 40% or 50% coupon you can print from online or if you have one of those really modern new cell phones, you can go to their website and bring up the bar code thing and the cashier can ring up the discount from your phone. and they also have sales. This week (ending in 18FEB12) I believe Hobby Lobby has a 30% off sale on some of their canvases. Just some info!

  • What is the hair spray for? Sorry, I'm just a beginner in painting.

  • I prefer to have lots of space around my work area and keep it free from clutter / work materials. I suggest a few shallow shelves on the wall at different heights above the work area to store all of the paints and work materials (similar to the brushes in the pocket on the wall) - this makes them even more accessible. The water cups should be in a separate area - I would suggest another shelf behind the working area, but within easy reach so that all you have to do is turn around.
