How to get Swype Beta 3.0 on your 3d

This is how I got Swype Beta 3.0 to work on the Evo 3d. Make sure you read everything and do these steps.

You will need to do Temp root to correctly do this. And able to work with adb.

1) Make sure you have root
2) adb shell pm disable com.swype.android.inputmethod
3) On the phone, download/install SwypeInstaller you need your beta login to do this.
4) Run SwypeInstaller, login, pick desired package, download package
5)Important: When you you get to the package installation, it will
ask "this is a system package, overwrite?" DO NOT PRESS ANYTHING.
Leave that on screen.
6) adb pull /data/data/com.swype.android.installer/files/mypackage.apk .\mypackage.apk
7) adb shell pm enable com.swype.android.inputmethod
8) adb install -r .\mypackage.apk

(note the -r)

9) Press "cancel" on phone (at the "replace system package" prompt)

10) it should drop you back to the SwypeInstaller and continue with
licensing, and all should be good to go, even through a reboot

oh really...ok...well to be honest with you im really not sure what you mean..is there a new way of getting it on the evo 3d now..if so how is it done...sorry man, Im just trying to figure this out and im just not sure how to do it and i want to do it the right way..thanks for your help

@love2phreak yeah i know im fully rooted with s off..im not sure what you mean when you say this no longer applies..well since i have it rooted how do i get Swype beta on my 3d? What the way now? Im just not sure..so any help would be grateful..thanks
