CP #221-08 at Loon, Ontario

CP w/b freight #221-08 slowly rolls into the siding at 10 MPH at Loon (mile 102 Nipigon Sub) in the late morning hours of November 10th, 2010. This 67-car train will be meeting eastbound freight #222 here at Loon. A pair of SD9043MAC's are on the point of this train... CP 9109 + CP 9135. Unfortunately the 9109 was giving the engineer problems due to continuous wheel slip and locked axle messages on the computer screen. The hogger wound-up cutting-up one of the trucks to briefly solve the problem. Eventually speed sensors on the 9109 were cut-out for the remainder of the 30-mile trip into Thunder Bay which meant a speed restriction of 30 MPH.
