This RoGator with New Leader fertilizer spreader box is spreading a very sticky material. We were trying to diagnose a problem when I made this video. There is nothing wrong with the machine, the material is too sticky! You can get a good idea how this spreader works though!

  • It was gypsum (calcium sulfate), which is a byproduct of a coal-burning power plant.

    They scrub the sulfur out of the flue gases of the power plant to reduce pollution. The resulting material is a product that can be used to balance the soil pH. It is a fine chalky powder, that will cling like corn starch as this video shows!
