  • I always put the Mainstay bars into freezer grade Ziplock bags because those pouches can quickly get pin holes in them and dry out/ruin them. Just a extra layer of protection and when done, the bag can be used for storage or water storage.

  • Good idea. I broke one open and vacuum sealed it into 3 cube sections.

  • By the way, my son and I tried the Mainstay bars and they are pretty good. I also used the saw on an 8" diameter log. it works, much better than my Gerber saw.  Nice to have both options. I also have a bow saw blade, but I'll need to make the frame for it.

  • i lucked out and got my gerber 2nd hand. defiance is a great movie.
