Spies is extremely talented and I think he'll be World Champion some day but to compare him to Valentino Rossi is a bit much. Rossi is only the greatest Motorcycle racer of all time while Spies can't keep up with his teammate right now.

Let's not forget, in that time frame Ben won 3 AMA SB titles, Mat actually won more races then Ben. Ben was just more consistent when he didn't finish on top of the box - if i'm not mistaken, 1 season he didn't finish lower than 2nd. So even though Ben got the championship; Mat beat Ben, more than Ben beat Mat.

I'm not taking anything away from ben but i've witnessed him and matt pretty much leave the field in their wake weekend after weekend..mat could have shattered all the ama superbike records easily.ben could have done the same but in that business oppurtunity only knocks once......so i give ben alot of credit for making the moves that he did......it was best for what i think will be a record breaking career if healthy.......matt is still one of the best suzuki pilots i've had the pleasure to see

mat mladin could have won world championships, well he would of!! no question so who better to give an opinion on spies. he is every bit as good as spies. and for sheer talent spies is maybe the best in the world i agree completely just listen to what colin edwards says about wat spies can do on the tech3 which he effectionately calls a 'pos'
