Got Dayummm I was so done with this show after this episode. I was like 16 years old at the time and a hard core NY undercover Fan, I was in tears like a mofo when they aired this. I just knew it was going to come back next season and it was going to be like some kind of case they were working and they weren't really dead or something. This show was garbage after this. They basically got rid of the "urban" premis, cancelled this show mid 4th season and brought of Law and Order instead.

then i realized why mac was written for 1 season. to distract people from the several episodes ed "disappeared with court cases". he was supposed to be a stopgap until they got ed's contract resolved. you can see the foreshadowing from the first case after the church fires how mac will disregard his superiors/proper protocol and get himself busted/nearly killed. mac was supposed to be killed in the last episode. Ed however wasnt until the last weeks of filming why that last show is so fractured

imma do two comments. first do you have "Hubris" the episode with the fugitive hunter. actually do you have any with Tyra Banks on the show? Second, I have been watching re-runs and i noticed in season 2 when Ed starting getting in contract disputes. they wrote off most of his family/outside-the-precint storyline by the end of season 2 except for nina and his dad. then they kill his dad(he doesnt even have an appearance in S3) in the 4th or 5th episode of season 3

This was the episode that I missed during the 90s. The next week when I tuned back in; NYU had "Tommy" from the "Martin" TV show on it. Thats when I knew they were going to kill off New York Undercover. That guy is always a precursor to the end of a series. He's really NOT a strong lead role for a TV series. I miss Michael De Lorenzo as Eddie. After the series; he kinda went into obscurity. Such a shame. Now pple have to get the series from "pookie and them" just to have good TV.
