Merman Jesse Swimming at Silver Glen 5

Fun Facts about this tail:

The Tail was made by myself, it has a zipper in the back hidden by the fins.

All the black on the tail is............

.......... permanent marker! (Betcha weren't expecting that!)

The Yellow is paint for "soft" fabric, that can be obtailed at JoAnn Fabrics.

The first dorsal fin is held together by velcro.

The fluke contains 2 swim fins attatched to flexible plastic. You may also see slits cut into the bottom of the fluke, this is for water to escape the vinyl material.

I accidentally sew myself to the tail as I had to hand sew the entire thing because it was too thick.

Was inspired by the tail used in "Slash, Too". It is not a replica, I said "inspired by".

By swimming in the tail, I have lost weight. This is why it is sliding off. (the dark you see under the tail are my swim trunks)

Took 3 months to construct.

Can make similar tails for serious interest only. Do NOT bombard me with emails!

I will NOT tell you step by step how to do it. I gave you the materials I used and the method of constructing it.

Most importantly:
SWIMMING WITH YOUR LEGS BOUND TOGETHER IS AN UNSAFE PRACTICE. THE TAIL DOES NOT INHANCE THE SWIMMING ABILITY. YOU DO NOT MAGICALLY TRANSFORM INTO A CREATURE OF THE SEA WHILE WEARING A MERMAID TAIL. SWIM WITH A SPOTTER WHO CAN HELP YOU OUT WHEN NEEDED. ALWAYS SWIM IN SHALLOW WATER AT FIRST TO SEE IF YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MANUEVER IN THE TAIL.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, NEVER LET ANYONE STOP YOU FROM DOING WHAT YOU LOVE TO DO!

Fabric probably slow down too.

Any way, it is Very Nice video, and a Mermaid is a National Simbol of country Denmark. I've been to Copenhagen many times. I a good summer day people stay in line to take pix with mermaid :))))

This tail doesn't have a mono fin in it... just a pair of swim fins attached to flexible plastic.

My new Mertailor tail has a Finis Rapid monofin in it. I also have a Finis Rapid monofin just for fin swimming.

Mermen are so much better than a Mermaid. They have more slim bodies that make the illusion look so realistic. Bravo on the tail. And dont worry, you look great!
