Yes, it is harder to breathe i have been up there a couple of times... you can get headaches...and some sickness, if not in the right clothing.. so watch out.

Old glacier snow covered in an inch or two of pow. But fast with plenty good edging!

Hiking up was tough! I had to stop a few times because of the tingling in my toes. A definite sign of hypoxia. Slight blackness at the edges of my peripheral sight, too. I would just stop for a few seconds, catch my breath, and continue. If you are a smoker, be careful of altitude sickness. After all, you are going from sea level to almost 14 thousand with no acclimatization.
