well 'I'll' not be buying this. I'd rather put up with 'fingerprints' on a touch screen than buy this.

This would be great for me in winter with my gloves making touchscreen useless. Touchscreen will be present in full version from what i understand so you can use it in all situations and preferred ways. Besides this will mean phones will be broken not nearly as often when dropped compared to current smart phones.
