My name is Amanda Delight.
I am from Caribou Maine and I currently live in Anchorage Alaska.
I am a Mammographer as well as a visual artist. During the day I find breast cancer in women and at night once my daughter is to bed, I paint portraits and do graphic designs.
I have three tattoos, my zidiac symbol on my right foot, my daughters zodiac sign on my left foot and cascading stars down my left shoulder blade. All of my tattoos are done in black ink. I would like to get my daughters portrait done in black and grey as well on my right scapula. As far as size of the tattoo I would think her face would be 4x6 inches, but I would leave that up to the artist to decide what would work best for detail. I believe it is important to give the artist artistic freedom. I want the most realistic detail in the face, but I would like to see her hair blowing around and framing her face however the artist would like to place it.
The picture I chose for the tattoo is of my daughter on the train tracks. I have always admired graffitti and I think it has greatly influenced my work. The best thing about trains, is they go all over, so even in a small town like Caribou Maine, I could still manage to find inspiration down on the tracks.
As a portrait artist myself, I have been wanting to get my daughters portrait tattooed on me ever since she was born. She is my greatest inspiration and has never left my side, until now when she flies home to be with her father for the summer. I will be sad with her gone, but its a small price to pay for the freedom I have gained. Divorce is never easy on anyone, but I like to show my daughter that girls can do anything they want. With education and hard work, anything is possible.
This past winter, her father threatened me for the last time. He threatened to take me back to court and fight me for custody. I told him stop with the threats so he proceeded to tell me that he was going to make it so I could never leave the state. I hung up on him and I sent him my legal 30 day notice, gave away all of my personal belongings, quite my job and booked flights for Alaska. I was homeless and unemployed, but I had my daughter by my side and thats all that mattered. Ive been in Alaska for three months now, I have a full time mammography position and we are living in a condo with a fireplace and mountain view.
Wow you are smoking hoT!...like you possitive drive!...I was divorce too and got full custody of my kids so I feel you!...but to be honest by your daughter not seeing her father it affects her even tho you might not notice but it will and in time you will see what I mean!..but I love your positivity and your beautiful!..

@xxsurcentralxx "by your daughter not seeing her father it affects her even tho you might not notice but it will and in time you will see what I mean!" He chose not to see her even when we lived three blocks from each other. I tried. He failed.
