@TwilightMasterX To be an idol singer, these are the requirements: first good looks, second variety show( korean TV show) skills, and last real skills (on stage live, singing capability, dancing/choreo skills.)

@TwilightMasterX ......he never directly bashes BoA, but i think i understand him, because the growing trend nowadays is to have "singers"(idols) that cant sing that only take on the career of singing just to be a celebrity. Of course, i dont think BoA is one of those untalented "singers", but nowadays more and more suckish idols rise with the inability to sing but with good looks.

The reason Korean artists and groups nowadays are really polished is because of the entertainment companies. SM, YG, and JYP are the 3 biggest entertainment companies in Korea. To become one of their artists, you must pass an extremely selective audition process and go through rigorous training in areas like singing, dance, and acting, usually for 2-5 years. They put a ton of resources into their artists, and promote them very well.
