What a beauty! Very small and light, high quality metal mechanism, and excellent AC bias recording! It uses the same parts inside as the Realistic Minisette-9.

I also display the other items I got for free at the freecycle.org "Free4All" today... including another iMac which will get its own video next!

  • how do you store all of this stuff man? every day you seem to post a new item lol.

  • What you don't see is how much stuff I've given away over the years, either to charity or at Freecycle Free4Alls. I only keep the stuff I really like and plan on using at least once in a while. I'd rather give something away than have it just sit on the shelf gathering dust!

  • That has to be one of the most ideal Cassette recorders ever!

Frankly I prefer a hefty full size shoebox recorder (like Califones), but seeing this makes me want to reconsider. But the hand strap is a bit much...ha ha ha ha, it's almost comical to see something that size have a hand strap.

  • Very nice! Quality. Metal mechanics with AC bias is always an honor. I wonder if Magnavox had any ties with Radio Shack. I once saw a Magnavox recorder at a thrift store that was the same as the Minisette-19 but with slightly different coloring/case style. But it was the same machine, same shape, same button shape. Hmmm.

  • Nice find... It's so cool to find a little machine like that with real quality. :) JC

  • I see because like almost every week you got a new mac, or a bunch of cd's, or tape player lol.

  • Nice!

  • That's a really nice little cassette deck, I like it! Sadly it's very hard to find cassette decks like this in Germany, because a lot of the small shoebox style cassette recorders already have been thrown away because they weren't that expensive. The Germans seem to like to simply throw away stuff they don't need or that is old instead of selling it on flea markets or giving it to second hand shops :(

I also like this flea market you got this! It's a great idea!

  • They're brothers from a different mother!

  • huh interesting.
