Athletes, Parents React To Steroid Report

Reaction to George Mitchell's steroid report is coming in from young athletes, their parents, former professionals, and former steroid users.

The announcement stunned parents and their kids at Velocity Sports Performance in Longwood, WESH 2 News reported.

Some parents said the report proved that athletes have acted like taking drugs is OK.

"They've let it go on and on and on and they haven't done anything about it," parent Kelli Radcliff said.

Radcliff's son, Cole Radcliff, is trying to get better at baseball without using steroids. He said he and his friends think athletes who take performance-enhancing drugs are taking unfair shortcuts.
