Since I was a child I heard "compound interest will help you retire", "IRA's will help you retire", "diversify diversify diversify", etc. After 20 yrs something just wasn't adding up. So I got this little thing called a calculator and pressed the enter key...

The system designed YOU for 40 yrs of toil. If you save every nickel....someone is at the right place at JUST the right time taking it away. It is nearly impossible to succeed in this country, and that's just WRONG. Solidify. Stand.

It's not just the banking system, dude. Its all made complicated and scary so that none of us want or are able to take part in it. That separates us from the system and takes away our sense of power and control of our own lives.

My bank's new motto is "helping you feel like you're in control of your finances". Seriously. And nobody but me was laughing when I walked in and saw those banners and posters all over the bank. What a joke.

I wrote "the interest on these loans (i.e. all the money in society) does not exist".. kind of clumpsy written. I meant that the loans and credits constitutes all the money in society and also only the principal. The interest does not exist in the overall money supply.

The fractional reserve system is complicated like you said, but there are some simple truths about it. The fact that all money is created by the banks as loans and credit (debt) and that the interest on these loans (i.e. all the money in society) does not exist at the time leads to an exponentially accelerating money supply (and again, debt) which then leads to bankrupcy of the entire monetary system and a huge transfer of all the wealth from the people to the creators of the debt (banks).
