This video is the best I have seen of this CopWatch movement. It shows the purpose (in my opinion) and that is to observe and report. The police showed that they can do their duty, even when it is to protect the Watchers.

See, this is the point that not ALL cops are bad. When they help out against people like that douche in the white shirt.

Some of these people would make BAD lawyers!!

@sage0857 You're a Marine....you don't need to sucker-punch a guy. You could KO the fucker with a stare ;)

Furthermore, I will concede your point that in fact filming a person on the street without their consent is indeed not an invasion of privacy. After researching this a little further, the correct offense is actually assault because the offense occurs in public (according to W. Prosser, Second Restatement of Torts 652A-652I).

It is good that you cannot actually tell much...lol. I am not necessarily an advocate for law enforcement. I am an advocate for the ability to think. I support those who believe they have been wronged by the government. What I don't support is baiting. That is what several of the videos from copwatch seem to do. That is my opinion.

@RevivalOfBuzzBuzz EarthBound was an awesome game. When it comes to authoritarianism I do not think that humans are naturally evil... and do generally want to be a "good"... and because of this I think authoritarianism order wins out over the neutral chaos... because I think when there is a lack of order (chaos) thug groups with weapons rule. When there is one powerful group in charge society can at least adapt and progress as opposed to conflict amongst each other.

@RevivalOfBuzzBuzz "Authoritarian conservative"? That's like saying I'm a freedom loving liberal. LOL!
the last dude needed sucker punched and this marine would do it.

Kudos to those cops at the end at actually keeping the peace and protecting the cameramans right to observe and record.
