  • @rickvanman Thanks. I really appreciate it. It WORKS. One more question, if I could impose on you a bit more? Sliding footage up or down---how? I tried and it ended up making it grainy/pixelated.

  • @ashake03 The APE name for it is a "Color Matte" - on APE 3.0 its in the available media list (where your available video clips are displayed) - theres a small pull-down menu (upper right) which gives you access to things like bars and tone, universal counting leader etc. Hope this helps.

  • @rickvanman how do you add solid blocks of colour overlay to videos? I'm new to APE and have been trying to get that effect to work -- to no avail.

  • The easy and professional way is using Crop and not that black bars. Actually, black bars on movies are not there, they are "virtual", it's an empty space, for widescreen tv's feet the picture exactly with the screen size if have the same aspect ratio. The fist think to do is starting a "new project" with that size. 2.39:1 or 1.85:1 ...
