Another Toccata (I have recorded three) by Michelangelo Galilei! I think this music is so beautiful. I cannot believe it was composed in Italy in 1570!! Some harmonies and chord changes are very modern.
This is in F#- minor but that is sucha pain in the -- to play so I trancribed it into e-minor and with a capo it sounds in g-minor!
For Marie with love!

Sheet music and TAB can be found at http://www.per-olovkindgren.com !

  • Beautiful...as always.

  • This is a thoughtful and heartfelt performance. I am a professional cellist, and an amateur guitarist. I know almost nothing about this composer, so thanks for uploading this excellent performance of his music!

  • 안녕?

  • Dear Nick,

Good luck with the transcription! Great that you do this. I guess you play the guitar and not the lute then... :-)

  • Hi Nick,

Yes, it's true. And remember that the lute was tunes a minor third above the modern guitar. E=G but while transcribing this you don't have to think about that. Good luck!
