@djrmonix Pro mod engines, depending on there size and stroke, can have even higher average piston speeds than that, in the area of 7000+fpm. And consider also how much larger and heavier those V8 pistons are compared to either a F1 or an B18C piston. God only knows the kinds of G forces they're subject to.
