After a 3 week vacation visiting family in the midwest, we set off on our flight back to CA. We took off at about 8:30 am CDT from Manitowoc, WI and landed for the night in Evanston, WY at 8:15pm MDT. We ate snacks in the airplane for lunch and ate dinner at the trucker cafe in Torrington WY. The flight was good with a mostly smooth and cool enough ride. We had 1 long leg planned between MN and WY. Some storms started building over Nebraska so we ended up diverting south around them adding 45 minutes to our already long leg. That was the longest flight of the trip at 4 hours and 36 minutes. You can tell you are over high terrain when you are told to maintain 12,000 ft cleared for the ILS approach. A storm also developed just north of Evanston during the last 15 minutes during the descent, you can see a few bolts of lightening in the video including one as I'm landing. The storm stayed north, but it was getting pretty close for comfort.
