The only problem with the theory that Apple designed the phone the way they did is so we would buy cases is that Apple doesn't make money when you buy a case from iFrogz or Incase. Apple may be encouraging companies who make cases to improve their products. Good thought though.

@Pilckle ok, thanks cause i have an ipod touch and i use the wifi all the time on my home network. I just didnt want to have to worry about going over in the amount of data i use, when normally i only use the internet for downloading apps and thats pretty much it. thanks again.

@CasENclozed i understand your question. all u do is go into the general settings and turn data roaming off. this means it won't use data with out your permission.

i am thinking about getting the iphone 4 and i have never had an iphone before this and i was wondering can you turn off the payed for internet and just use wifi- but also be able to make calls like without turning the phone part off but be able to only shut off the data plan part? sorry for being so confusing!
