I am extremely glad that you have looked into this and appreciate the viewpoints of autistic self-advocates (many in your position don't even bother). I do want to say, that while simply separating us into categories of "genetic" and "mercury poisoned" is appealing, as it makes things easier and less polarized, is arbitrary, and even though it took a few years for me to "show" my autism, I have always "felt" autistic and thought of it as part of me, despite my earlier self-hatred.

It is awful when NT's make you feel like stimming ECT are wrong. I embracing Braden's traits that do have to do with something physically painful, like muscle tension. Another example of not getting my point. Children with autism are not badly behaved, they are sick.

You're on to something here! No people with autism are not contagious or disease carriers. Many kids I work with are people who I believe have been exposed to environmental factors that have created a pseudo autism. There are other children who are distinctly different from that first group. I think there those with a genetically based type autism and I think that there are other kids who may fit into other subgroups.

Maybe the things that are happening to children, with reguards to regression related to vaccines, is mislabeled as autism...

My son was completely normal, got 9 shots, and within 15 minutes was having a massive seizure. He woke up from his coma 4 days later WITH AUTISM.

He was normal, speaking, communicating, walking, everything... 9 vaccines at once and he was GONE.

I sued. I won.

You have raised some very important points especially in regards to funding stoping once a person with Autism turns 21. This is really hard because these people really need the support. Why being an adult should they be deprived the support they deserve? It doesn't make sense.

There is no statistical link between vaccinations and autism. Instead of continuing to blame vaccines, which are without a doubt very positive things, we really ought to spend the time and effort to nail down the cause in the environment.

There is a difference. the widening of the dsmiv - was a deliberate attempt to hide the vaccine damage. I have a great name for the people who are responsible for this. Monsters - they know exactly what the effect of vaccines are and its nothing to do with protection from diseases. Not only is there autism there is ADD ADHD PDDS, allthese labels created to hide vaccine damage! - its deliberate folks.there can be no other answer. they are destroying our children.

Adrenalyn. My family have strong autistic traits (genetic autism) however the only ones in our family that regressed and lost speech were in the last generation my son was the most severely affected. The problem is the spectrum covers all types of autism including those who have regressed - perhaps if these kids had grown they would not have had the dx of autism as many in the autistic community dont have dx until adulthood! The autism my son has is not high functioning Aspergers!

You've gotten me interested in the idea of vaccines affecting an already autistic person. As a child I had (what we assumed) unexplained gut problems, as an adult I have extreme sensitivity problems. I never thought in my mind to connect the two.

Perhaps I do seem black and white, I often can't tell if I come off in that manner. (autism symptom or just me being my weird self?)

I think it's great that you love and accept your son and want to do everything to help him. Please do not get me wrong. You seem like the type of parent to accept him no matter what.

You don't seem to be the type of parent who hates his stims, hates his outbursts, wants him to be "normal" by any means, putting him through dangerous, stressful "therapies". You're not the type of parent I refer to.

I'm happy that you are there supporting your son.
