@MattsMacintosh 1: make it wrap all the way around. 2: take the threads from a bipod or just buy them at a hardware store (I have several bipods). Three, make a ring out of cardboard and duct tape, then secure it to the inside of the ring with hot glue. I did the same thing with my iPod touch.

@BrianMcKenna2 While I'm a big fan of DIY solutions, I don't think a cardboard version of this would come close to matching the functionality. How would the iPhone be secured? How would you attached the tripod thread?
