View of heading indicator and artificial horizon after an in flight vacuum failure. The plane is a Cessna 152 it happened about 20 minutes into the flight. Artificial horizon failed first then the heading indicator

  • The seals where shot in the pump its self. You could watch the artificial horizon gyros spin down all most. (Vertical then Lateral) We discussed some options and did a little trouble shooting before I started filming that’s why the horizon looks correct. Don’t know why the Vacuum gage reads high as the Low vacuum light is on and the Gyros where slowing to a stop. From the time we noticed to Gyros stopping it was about 7 to 8 min. Thanks for watching
