I read somewhere that a good deal to make with property owners is to give them any relics and jewelry but you keep all coins. I have not yet approached anyone to detect their property so I don't really know how well that would work.

@yaquigrande Hey, I added a letter you can use on my site under blog - metal detecting tips, I would try to call them first if you can or talk to them by just approaching them, give them this letter, this bolds well, and see what they want, everyone is different, but most will not even care after that.
