  • ALS, is a very cruel disease, My Dad passed away from it in 1991 at the age of 53. It's sad to watch someone you love go through this disease...It's hereditary in my family. I have lost my dad, two uncles and an aunt to ALS.....It's very sad !!!

  • As of me typing this right now, it is just shy of two hours ago that an old friends girlfriend passed away from ALS. She was diagnosed with it 5 months ago and in her case, it progressed quickly unusually quick, they gave her 6 months to live at the most. I visited her in the care center when she could still speak, but couldn't move her hands or arms. Over time she had to be put in a vent unit, and now today, she is gone at 40 years old, her father died at 56 from it. Bad disease.
