One of the most remarkable musicians, imho. Exceedingly wonderful craft coupled with the keenest of musical intelligence. He even makes Bach sound not boring! Lol.

i went digging in some crates at the back of the vinyl shop one day and i came up with one bearing the face of Lipatti on the cover, i like Bach i thought, and i took it home. As i played it, over and over again, i discovered Bach like i have never heard before
my freaking gosh, this dude played each piece for a year or more before even giving a preformance, what a ear and feeling this romanian had.

dinu lipatti had a good taste , he never failed as a musician. That makes him unforgettable.
As he also was a composer he did under
stand the structure of the music he did play.
He therefor is always logic . Which isn t the case with many other pianists.
