FFXI Insane Abyssea EXP party!

A party in Abyssea-Tahrongi Canyon. Upon entering I had 93 mins, 4,000 Cruor, and a lot less merits. 4 hours later when we left I had capped XP, 9/10 merits, 9,999/10,000 limit points, 55,000 Cruor, 120 mins in the zone... Do you guys think they will continue to add new content to FFXI? Or do you think they will just let it go on auto pilot from now on? EQ1 is still releasing new expansion. If FFXI will - maybe I wanna play it.

I havent played this game but the research I've done indicates that its virtually impossible to get into it as a brand new player unless you have connections to ppl who have played for a long time already. ppl I ask say its very very very new-user unfriendly.

@Bidon45 It's pretty bad not going to lie lol. Lvling your first job will be a pain because everyone just leeches in abyssea for the low lvls now, and without knowing anyone or having access to abyssea you'll have to EXP outside solo or if you get lucky with someone who just started as well. After you make a couple friends and get to a higher lvl everything will get much easier, but that could take weeks for a brand new player.

Abyssea ruined this game. Nobody does Dynamis, Limbus, Ground HNM, Absolute Virtue, Pandemonium Warden, Salvage, Sea, Sky, Einherjar or ZNM anymore because all of those drops are absolutely worthless. Everything in Abyssea is extremely better in every way. 30 minutes a day? Fuck that, i need more time than this or else i'm going to be dicking around in the game doing something worthless.

@upbeatglitch I just started the trial, and I have to say that solo leveling is easier than I thought it would be, and I don't even have the destrier barret. I just do the field manual individual training quests over and over, decent exp and gil bonus when u finish. I'm assuming that most outside zones have the AMAN field manuals for those, so, maybe kinda time consuming but so far it seems doable, I really like the atmosphere of the game, I don't want the low population to discourage me.
