Danny Sullivan made the connection: When Kris Kringle sends Macy's shoppers to Gimbels, he's doing what he does best and linking to the rest. Or as Mr. Macy puts it, "If we haven't got what a customer wants, we'll send him where he *can* get it." A true link economy!
