Police aren't saying why or how Patino allegedly killed his fellow soldier. [Notes:various of fort bragg, cutaways - WRAL file]Both were stationed at Fort Bragg. Touma was new to the base, waiting for permanent assignment to the dental clinic. Officials say she was divorced. No one has talked about the father of her unborn child.Patino was transferred to Fort Bragg in December. His is now in police custody in Cumberland County, North Carolina and is being held without bond. [Notes:still of letter - zoom to symbol] A letter sent to a local newspaper after Touma's body was discovered was sent by a person claiming to be a serial killer. Authorities say the symbol used to sign the letter is similar to one that was drawn on the motel room mirror in lipstick.
