while the laugh may seem inapproproate i think it was obviously because of the absolute silence in the room, and then you hear the squeak of his chair. If this was a "normal rock" show you wouldnt have even heard it. That said, this is a stunning performance. I love the ending from about 3:05 until the end which is gorgeous the melody he sings

I agree, but I think the "Oh god..." is cute, more than anything. I myself would feel the same way and start bawling my eyes out seeing Sufjan sing one of my favorite songs by him in person... he's almost like a God or something in some way.
