@TCBINAFLASH1 I'm not doubting his skills as a performer I'm just saying the songs from his solo career aren't as good as his stuff he had with CCR. I do like some of his solo stuff. He did great covers of Jambalaya, Garden Party and When Will I Be Loved. I like Rambustcious Boy, Hundred and Ten in the Shade, Deja Vu and the River is Waiting.

@johnhamilton08 cont stole it from Van Halen but we musicians all borrow from each other. John's work on songs showing his tributes to Scotty Moore and James Burton are fantastic as well. Over all he is not the simple minded guitarist many try to make him out to be. He's one of the best. And my favorite. I saw CCR in 1970 and John Solo twice in the last 2 to 3 years. Personally I didn't miss the other guys. Although they are great in their own right as well.

@johnhamilton08 No offense intended here John. I understand it's your opinion. If you are talking about song writing it's understandable as John had to for many years write things to try and stay away from the Creedence sound. The sound that he and TOM created. In the meantime he woodshedded for many years and became an awesome musician. His voice is stronger now than before in my opinion as well. His guitar playing is fantastic. Just listen to the new beginning to Chooglin. Sure he con

@TCBINAFLASH1 not really there are few good but he's not as good as his CCR stuff.

@johnhamilton08 Oh BS John Fogerty is better today than he ever was.

Tom Fogerty is so underrated. He might not had been a strong writer like brother John, but he still had good musical talent. I always wondered when John broke down and let Stu and Doug compose songs and sing on Mardi Gras album afer he left the band. I'll bet he was pissed!

@kirbygene I said just as good. I didn't say he was better. And really John reached his peak when he was with CCR his solo wasn't that good.

@johnhamilton08 "Just as good as his brother John"? Please tell me you're kidding? I agree it's sad that he passed away too soon but his musical lights were far less bright than John's. I'm not being argumentative, it's just that your comment surprised me.

he was without a doubt one of the most underrated musicians of all time, I think he was just as good as his brother John, it's very tragic that not many people have heard his music and that he passed away way to soon.
