You know, I read all the comments below, and I just have to shake my head in wonder. So many "armchair" preachers, who know the lingo, but still just don't get it. So many who are "experts" of the bible. They spout out scripture and sling around passages like they fully grasp the concepts behind it all. It's really pathetic. They don't get it, and never will. That is what makes Dr. Stanley so good. All of you who fit this discription, just say "thanks" and listen to him.

I am French and my English is certainly not very good since I use google translation to write here. However, I am surprised at the ease with which many have stoned this man of God who lived a divorce after 44 years of marriage! How easy it is to judge! you do not seem strange that a man who preaches the word of God with balance, strength, courage, and whose sermons are building thousands of Christians, may end up with this terrible ordeal at the end of his life?
