Nuremberg Day 86 Goering (Jackson Cross re Jewish Issue)

Excerpts from United States government film of Justice Robert H. Jackson, the chief U.S. prosecutor before the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg, Germany, cross-examining defendant Hermann Goering on March 20, 1946. Specific topics covered in these excerpts include: (1) Goering's plan to eliminate Jews from Germany's large industries; (2) Goering's September 1935 proclamation of the Nuremberg laws; (3) Goering's April 1938 publication of penalties for concealing Jewish participation in business enterprises; and (4) Goering's July 31, 1941, directive regarding "solution of the Jewish question." Regarding the last, Goering, reading from the German document, states that Jackson's English translation of the document mistranslates "total solution" as "final solution."

the Jews are people who belong to a religion, not to any country, just like the Christians don't belong to any country. they are both spread all over the world. the Jews were prosecuted in germany like the christians in rome uinder Nero, but in another magnitude.

An independant Polish Representative among the allied after 1945 would have shown that soviet union is a problem to any discourse of democracy and freedom speech promoted by the western allies. How could Ribbentrob and Goering be accused by the americans of organizing an agression war when soviet union was their ally at that time and also agressing Finland in 1939/40.. and so on... Jackson lacked the freedom to openly adress the USSR on these facts and make clear that law is law for everybody..

As a more general comment and observation about the Nuremberg trial: Was there a seat for Poland in that court? I noticed that the French had a representative in Nuremberg and also in the Potsdam Conference and at the official surrenders of Germany at Karlshorst (Berlin) where the French even signed the capitulation documents as a victorious party. But no trace of Poland authorities!? I suggest that the absence of Poland from these events shows that all is flared and faked anyhow to pleaseStalin

@NickVenture1 Words such as "Endlosung" and "Judenfrage" were used in Europe long before the National Socialists came to power. May I recommend the memoirs of the governor of Bessarabia from about 1910 (available from archive.org). He uses these terms quite often. I think it's important to bear this in mind.

I now checked the written transcripts of the court of this precise questioning and I see that you present on youtube a cut and edited version of this VERY important hearing. Why do you cut out so many sentences spoken by Jackson and also by Goering?? Do youPlease add in yourInteresting channel also the UNEDITED Full version of this hearing fragment?And WITHOUT some translator covering Goerings voice. It would be better to have the text of the court transcript added.

Document 710, Exhibit Number USA-509. This document is shown to Goering by the court. Goering accepts that he signed that document. I think that this Prime document should be shown to the viewers of this channel. Is it the exact same document today on display at the Wannsee Konferenz Museum? Because on that document are printed the words: "GESAMTLOESUNG der Judenfrage.." and than also " ..materiellen Vorausmassnahmen zur Durchfuehrung der angestrebten ENDLOESUNG der Judenfrage vorzulegen."

More research can help to establish if Goering was cheated by Himmler and Hedrich on the Final Solution "interpretation".No intention to whitewash Goering,but to find out how much conspiracy and treachery existed between the nazi leaders.Goering tries to avoid toDisplay the splits in front of theCourt but he hated Himmler and the "mess" the camps had left visible to the entire world.The SS also had orders to execute Goering in 1945 and still Goering cannot admit that Himmler outsmarted+used him.

Eichmann puts the document signed by Goering in July 1941 in a special context: After surrender of France the Plan was to send all jews to Madagascar.In order to make emigrate the jews there and find a final solution Heydrich (RSHA) asked for special centralized powers to do so.Eichmann typed theLetter, and with Heydrichs approval it was sent to Goering who signed it as it was.Heydrich was very happy when he got in such an easy way "FullPowers" and had only this paper to show in 1942 at Wansee!

The document (letter) which is mentionnedby the court and confirmed by Goering is today shown as a simple version of official correspondance, without Goerings Letter Head and no complete date on it. Eichmann in the 60ies explains this:He claims that he typed this letter in his RSHA office as it was a custom to prepare documents to be suitably formulated, than to be submitted to the authority for approval and signature.Eichmann suggests that Heydrich somehow cheated Goering by not limiting it.
