  • Couldn't be anymore true. We need more people like Adam and Ron Paul ! It is our "duty" as Americans to fight for our country, even if it's a fight against our government.

  • Agreed!!!

I actually got to meet them both a month ago and not only is Adam super smart and courageous but SOOOOO down to earth it amazed me.

  • Excellent response Adam! I like how he emphasized the fact that the government is not only stealing from its people but also from people in other countries. That should raise some eyebrows.

  • Excellent point! Very true.

Unfortunately, if we "switch" our economy from today's fraudulent type to real capitalism type - first thing we will see is 20 million more unemployed people.

Because millions of jobs we have now are not really needed, like finance, autos and some other services... They were created out of thin air, just like our dollars were printed out of thin air...

If fake dollars are abandoned - so fake jobs go... We are all hostages to big Government and their cronies.

  • @Panpiper Totally agree

  • See the chapter "Disbanding Troops and Bureaucrats" in Henry Hazlitt's 'Economics in One Lesson'.

If this were to happen over night (which of course it would not), those 'surplus' workers could find work very quickly in a true capitalist system. They might have to lower their wage demands in order to find work, but once they are all employed, supply and demand will work to raise wages once again.

  • I would go one step further and say, it's not just corporatism, although we do have plenty of that with our government married to Wall Street, I would say, what we have as a money system is Neo-Corporate Feudalism. The majority stake holders are the wealthy elite and the government itself. The governments owns things called enterprises and investments, purchased with pension funds and special purpose tax funds. Fully 2/3rds of what people don't see is off budget and hidden. Learn about CAFR.

  • You missed the big one: Approximately 100% of government employees serve no useful function in the economy. And their entire income consists of extortion and theft (called "taxation" when government does it) and counterfeiting (issuing paper currency backed by nothing but more paper).

  • The question was a standard Marxist canard.

  • Adam Smith talked about Economic-Individualism.

Marx coined the phrase "capitalism" (he created the word) -- His definition is that capitalism means economic-fuedalism. Marx's warning was that Capitalism would eventually become Imperialism; later on Mussolini coined it economic-fascism (or Corporatism).

The Founding Father's created Economic-Fuedalism and not Economic-Individualism; otherwise they would have had the duty to protect the rights of American-Indians and African-Americans.

  • Statism is force. Nice video Adam.

  • your scenario might be true if some sudden switch magically happened. but in reality the sudden switch is most likely to be a collapse of dollar value as skeptics switch to other currencies since we all know the US monetary system is a huge Ponzi scheme. Other countries are already ditching the dollar for stronger currencies without raising alarm so the dollars they still hold won't lose value.

US citizens are locked in by law. If citizens don't vote out the corrupt, the economy will collapse.

  • Great answer.

    Thanks Star.
