Pacificshogun, you're saying that because demand for oil is increasing, then increasing supply won't lower prices.

We can innovate, but that takes time. We need to invest in renewables AND drill more. We actually need a national energy policy. Democrats say no.

We could also argue about the color of oranges or the how many moons there are, but guess what? They're orange, there's 1, and oil from Alaska will provide a literal DROP IN THE OCEAN in a world that is running dry.

Demand from industrialising countries is spiralling out of control on top of that, and the market will only raise and raise the price of oil in years to come.

What about all of the other products we need oil to make? Like asphault on the roads - "renewable energy" has nothing to do with that. Don't think inside a box like Obama wants you to - the picture is bigger than Obama will admit.

Even if we accepted their argument that it woudln't lower gas prices (which isn't true, but let's accept it just for the sake of argument), that still doesn't change the fact the ultra-liberal Obama policy causes job losses, prevents jobs from being created, and a loss of the economic activity and tax revenue that would result. And plus, hundreds of billions of dollars leaving our economy to other nations.
