Saw plenty of people running linux on their xoom using chroot, and thought I could go one better and install it natively.

Details on how I did it: http://www.cactuar.net/2011/06/19/how-to-run-debian-natively-on-the-motorola-...

  • what's the onsrceen keyboard

  • @residentevilskate The On Screen Keyboard I'm using is called Florence, if you're running Squeeze it isn't in the repos, but you can get it from Squeeze-backports. it is in Wheezy though.

  • Any way of getting the right click working?

  • @rstat1 What I've done is enable hold-to right click in accessibility options, so if I hold down with my finger for a second and release it right clicks

  • Wouldn't Gnome3 or E17 be a bit more touch friendly?

  • @MultiMattRogers E17 runs great on it, though a bit tricky without right clicks. Gnome3 would probably be a lot better. I'll be sure to give that a try. cheers
