The Future of Farming

This week we have put a fun clip. I found this while looking for archival footage in the fantastic archives in Victoria, BC.

It's a clip out of a program "The Future of Farming" produced in the seventies. Scientists at a large University are discussing how a typical farm in the future will look like.

It's a futuristic drawing of a dome structures and a tall building that looks like a large parking garage for cows! In the back you see large planes spraying the land.

It is too bad we have no sound with the clip, but I can just imagine what your comment would be.

I am very happy that when filming in the Fraser Valley I still see farmland, farms scattered around and cows in the field, where they belong.
