with most floating trem' s like the edge 3 you need to give them a little wiggle up to get them back in tune after a bomb anyway. It's probably just normal.

i don't think they're supposed to be set entirely flat, the basep plate of an edge 3 tapers upwards towards the back.. The top of the Fine tuner's are supposed to be set parallel to the middle of the string locks supposedly. He might have been used to floyd rose's which have flat lower mass base plates.
