The Directors' Musical Legacy is a special initiative of Curtis's "Appassionato" season, reflecting the school's extraordinary heritage. Over the course of several weeks, Curtis celebrates the musical impact of each director by releasing exemplary recordings of their music-making. Violinist Efrem Zimbalist was director of Curtis from 1941 to 1968.
