Cautley Carollers Holly n' t'Ivy

The Holly and the Ivy is a great song - very festive - and this version is my favourite, more like a dance than a song. We're the Cautley Carollers - five singers living near Sedbergh in the Cautley Valley - we've been singing in these valleys for over a decade and also on our starlit walks through the winter landscape, singing on the doorsteps of cottages cradled in the dale - and round the fires of the kindly Dalesfolk who live here. Roger and Judith and Dorcas also play in the Cautley Band - and Roger is a leading light in the Celebrated Garsdale Street Band playing his Hurdy Gurdy.
