This is easily one of the most cherished moments in my ukulele building career when John King played a Santo reproduction I had built for him, in concert. It was John that suggested, in fact asked me to build him a Santo reproduction ukulele at Uke Fest West, 2004 in Santa Cruz. It took lots more learning and several years before I was able to deliver one to him. John's ukulele knowledge and ukulele playing have been a constant inspiration in my ukulele building and in my ukulele playing. I will miss him.
Without any curve to my soul, thank You very much!

A master player playing a gorgeous instrument built by a master builder. (Wish I could afford one!)
That was beautiful.

I was really shocked to hear of his passing. When I first picked up the uke it was his transcriptions that first taught me to play.
