that is a big cat for little kid but at my lake this 30 year old man went catfishing and took his son to catch him bait and the son caught a 50lb flat head on a little kiddy super man pole

not being negative, but i gotta say, why does everyone think that grabbing the line instead of using the rod a good idea. its obvious the line has no give that way and makes it 10 times easier to snap.

@pjo17 Its a good idea, but he usually just catches lots of little sunfish, so I've removed the barb from the hook to make it easier on the fish when we pull the hook out. The downside, is it makes it really easy for the fish to toss the hook out on their own. I wanted to make sure he could land this one to get to see what he caught before we released it.
