  • Yes, I agree to some point.Doing the maegeri in two counts is far more difficult. For older people it is far more difficult to hold the knee up before execution.Or slightly over weight people.I find the best maegeri training is kicking a bag to find ones focus after completing the Kihon exercise. That gives you the tru result how your balance and kime is.If No good, soon as you kick the bag you will bounce back.

  • robot kick

  • @ennagh not everyone will become a great fighter. Some people do it for exercise or sheer enjoyment. SO we only give the black belts for the best athlete or the best fighter? Sounds like youve never ran a Karate program. Besides do you know everyone here? Have you fought everyone here. No. Karate should be enjoyed regardless of your ability. Its good for your health and among other things. To learn Karate just to fight defeats the purpose of a black belt. Besides its a basic FRONT KICK.

  • Shame this isnt Mawashi geri training, good MAE geri training tho.Timing the punch with the kicking foot landing back on the floor for more power and kimete. Good working on the snap recovery of the kick too. oss.

  • Absolutely not true. A seminar of 2h30 with Kancho and his sons costed me less than 30 € (normally it is 38 € but I am part of the SKI federation so I pay a little bit less). $1,000? Come on, be serious!

  • very odd to me to see all these Black Belts with such poor blance doing a front snap kick.

  • @darin30may Not true. Kancho charges less than $100 for seminars/grading & cheaper it's for children.

  • @darin30may $1,000?, surely not, it cost me 45euro for grading and 2 nights training with kancho in ireland last week

  • $1,000 each student / seminar. That's a good business...
