@MultiBelbo A great question - bravo. No, they didn't - for obvious reasons. Anyway, the translations of all lyrics were truly fantastic.

@Sazandar Did they translate the "Revolution is the Opium of the Intellectuals" graffiti that appears on the wall near the end?

@Sazandar Interesting. I can definitely see it being a hit in the USSR.

@Sazandar I saw it in the Soviet Union in the late 70-s-early 80's. It was a breath of fresh air . Still remember how impressed I was. Alan Price looked so foreign and wonderful.

Almost, it starts some other scene and then the op credits come on with this video :)

Is this the opening of the film by any chance?

A brilliant underrated film.

@gjc82071 Right. You know, we in the USSR used to listen to western radio stations like Radio Liberty, Voice of America, BBC, Deutsche Welle and others, which were constantly JAMMED, which made their broadcasting far more enticing. Neither detracting from their merit, nor defending Soviet propaganda, I must say that in the end we proved naive enough to believe in everything what they said. Those were cool times though :-)))

Thank you for this. O Lucky Man has been one of my very favourite songs and movies since it first came out.
Still sounds just as fresh and profound now - perhaps even more so.
For all our technological advances, the human condition still has a long way to go.
