Pelosi, Reid and Obama are a disgrace to our country. Very, very sad.

Yes, the phrase "chicken hawk" doesn't get used nearly enough. Politicians are all too willing to send someone else's children to die in wars. Afghanistan was not properly resourced in order to move the effort to Iraq. Iraq was not properly resourced because nobody wanted to admit how hard it was going to be. The result was two wars that were on the path to a loss at the cost of more money and lives than needed. Thus even if the wars were needed, troops died needlessly.

Yes, but: Both parties worked to get their core of "true believers" to come out. I think this was largely a wash. That the party elites picked someone so utterly repugnant and so many idiots in power said really stupid things worked to decrease the turn out of republicans with sort of a "why bother" mood getting into the ranks. I expect that the next election will be even worse. They are not learning from the mistakes.

If a trial lawyer doesn't ask a question that is begging to be asked in court, it's because he doesn't want to know the answer. Same thing if the crime data shows that armed law abiding citizens reduce crime, it is obvious to me that those who want to disarm the public DO NOT want less crime. They want more crime. Why? Because they don't want to let a good crisis go to waste. They can accomplish political objectives during a crisis that they could not do otherwise.

I was referring to the people who voted for Obama. I know that there were fewer people who voted, but I was referring to the push to get more people to vote affecting the number people who know nothing about politics who voted. I also disliked Romney, I was just adding some factors.

No, there was a serious voter suppression effort mounted and the fraction of the public that actually voted was a really long way from EVERYONE. Rejecting Romney was far from a stupid act. How the party ended up with that turkey as a nominee, I will never know.
