    I'm downloading the app now. I'm a 51 year old beginning trumpet player. Been taking for three weeks. Do you have any suggestions how to use this app to supplement my trumpet practice?

    You can use it as a fingering chart and it should help you visualize where all the notes are. There are also some songs it shows you how to play. Once you build up some facility, you can use it to learn songs and chord changes while playing along with any of your music. Try to hold it more like a trumpet - in portrait mode like the video.     it will run as an iPhone app, but it isn't designed specifically for iPad - holding it is harder.
