It seems everyone who sings this song uses an entirely diffent style, tune or lyrics yet the story is always somewhat the same, I guess this song is more about telling a story than about the music. I highly recommend the STEELEYE SPAN version of this song, the best way I can describe it is "medieval 70's rock".
